There are plenty of different ways your business can support Home-Start Norfolk.
As a small, local charity we depend on the support and generosity of our local business community, but we believe it is about building relationships with business’ and partnership working; ultimately the children we support are the future employees and employers of the business community, so we have a shared interest.
Payroll Giving or ‘Give As You Earn’, is a way for UK Income tax payers to donate to Home-Start regularly on a tax free basis. All donations are deducted before tax so each £1.00 you give will only cost you 80p, and if you’re a higher rate tax payer it will only cost you 60p. Payroll giving is incredibly valuable to Home-Start delivering a long term source of revenue, allowing us to budget and plan ahead more effectively.
Make Home-Start your charity of the year.
Organising your own fundraising events, from charity black tie balls to golf days, will create a range of great hospitality opportunities. The ability to entertain clients and suppliers can be a great way of growing your network and building strategic relationships whilst supporting a worthwhile cause.
Giving up your staff’s time and expertise to support Home-Start could also offer a great team building opportunity, raising morale and delivering a greater sense of fulfilment. Getting your staff involved in charitable activity will help improve employee engagement, productivity and loyalty.
By supporting Home-Start Norfolk you will be able to raise the profile of your business with positive PR and media coverage in the local and or trade press. Sharing news and pictures of your fundraising events on social media is a great way to raise the visibility of your brand to your target audience.
Consumers like businesses that care and evidence suggests that customers prefer to buy from brands that give back to their communities.
If your company is interested in contributing to the work of Home-Start Norfolk and our charity fundraising we would really welcome your support and love to hear from you!
Gifts In Kind
We would welcome donations of ‘In-Kind Gifts’ to help us create an efficient, productive charity. From I.T products like computers and software to office furniture – all donations will help us maximise the value we can offer to local families in need. Perhaps you are able to provide gifts and prizes for raffles and auctions, or food and drink for hospitality at our fundraising events. Your donation of a gift in kind will not only help Home-Start but of course increase the visibility of your brand and drive sales.
If you company works in the professional services industry, perhaps you would be willing to provide free meeting spaces, administrative, training, marketing or financial advice. By donating your expertise, you will not only enable us to create a larger more sustainable service to the growing number of families in need of our support, but it will also upskill our staff and volunteers, giving long term opportunities for further development of the service.
Corporate sponsorship can bring many benefits to a company, from delivering brand engagement and awareness in our local business community to creating a positive team culture. There are various opportunities to sponsor our work at Home-Start, including sponsoring the set-up of a project or group, being involved in activities, sponsorship of events or providing our printed and digital marketing resources. In return, we can offer promotion of your business and its relationship with Home-Start via local press and social media, inclusion of your logo on our website and in our annual reports and ongoing challenging and rewarding opportunities for your staff to volunteer for Home-Start.
Demonstrating your company’s commitment to corporate social responsibility, charity fundraising and supporting worthwhile causes will help differentiate you from the competition and deliver powerful brand equity.
Your support can really make a huge difference to local children and their families who are going through tough times on their own. We would be happy to come and talk through how our work benefits local families and explore how we could work together with your business.
